E& International has entered into a strategic partnership with Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, and Intel to advance its mobile network capabilities through artificial intelligence (AI). This collaboration aims to establish a foundation for achieving Level 4 network autonomy by 2030, marking a significant milestone in E&’s autonomous network strategy. According to Sabri Yehya, E& International’s chief technology officer, this multilateral alliance is a transformative step for the company.
An autonomous network powered by AI and cutting-edge technology can self-manage, optimize, and repair with minimal human intervention. Such networks can automatically adjust settings for peak performance, identify and resolve issues before they disrupt service, adapt to new devices or updates, and anticipate maintenance requirements. By reaching Level 4 autonomy, E& envisions a largely self-sustaining network where human oversight is only needed for the most complex and strategic tasks. This autonomy will empower E& to deliver more efficient, dependable, and responsive services to its customers.
The collaboration will involve real-world AI use case testing to enhance customer service, drive operational efficiency, and promote sustainability. The partners will also co-author a white paper that will detail E&’s current network capabilities and outline future plans. These include leveraging AI to expedite 5G deployment in key markets and exploring AI-enabled methods for reducing carbon emissions.
