Hub One (Aeroport De Paris) pruchases 2.6 GHz TDD spectrum (4G/5G)
French ICT group Hub One, a subsidiary of airport terminal services represented by group ADP, has been granted a ten-year licence by telecommunications authority Arcep, as part of the 2.6 GHz TDDÂ spectrum award for high-speed PMR (Professional Mobile Radio) networks introduced in May 2019.
The new licence permits Hub One to cover three airports in the Paris area (Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and also Paris-Le Bourget). Air France has actually already subscribed as a partner in the project as well as will start benefiting from brand-new services during the current year.
The 2.6 GHz TDD spectrum will initially support the evolution of Hub One’s existing airport offerings for LTE technology, that includes PMR, mobile telephone, baggage tracking, to name a few. This same spectrum can also be used for 5G by upgrading this infrastructure  to the next generation of services when the ecosystem matures,.
